May 13, 2013 - Martin Ladd joined MSCPA in 1982 as a Plant Attendant. Within a year, Martin was named Boiler Operator, a position in which he would hold for 15 years. Lastly, for the adjacent decade and a half, Martin has acted as Shift Foreman. As Shift Foreman, he supervised the work of power personnel by scheduling, training and assigning tasks in order to ensure the proper operation of the Plant. He performed evaluations, equipment tests and maintained records for inventory and service hours. “I was privileged to meet and work with a lot of great people here over the years,” he said. Martin and his wife, Martha, have one daughter, Michelle. After retirement, they plan on moving to Spring Lake in order to be closer to Michelle, her husband Bryan, and their two grandchildren; Taylor and Nolan. With a little extra time on his hands, Martin plans on attending more of his grandchildren’s sporting events, golfing, camping with his motor home around the state of Michigan, and riding bikes. Congratulations Martin!
