The City of Litchfield removed 58,760 pounds of tires out of their community on June 14. The tires collected displaced coal for 6.4 hours on one mill (11 megawatts); which is about 30 percent of the total fuel used per hour.
Fun Fact: The tires collected during this event would energize
73 homes for an entire month!
Thank you to the Litchfield Rotary Club for all of their hard work during this collection!
